Shaking, Sipping and Watching the Sunset: Inside Our Sunset Cocktail Masterclass with Balimoon

There is something special about enjoying a cocktail in Bali as the sun begins to set. But learning how that cocktail comes together makes the experience even more memorable.
On 29 September 2026, Oswego Bar & Dining at Impiana Private Villas Seminyak welcomed guests for an afternoon of cocktails, local flavours, and sunset views during our Sunset Cocktail Masterclass with Balimoon.
Rather than simply enjoying a drink, guests had the opportunity to step behind the bar and discover what goes into creating a well-balanced cocktail.
Behind the Bar with Balimoon
The afternoon began with an introduction to Balimoon, exploring its story, production process, and distinctive flavour profiles.
With guidance from our mixologist and Balimoon Brand Ambassadors, guests discovered how different ingredients and flavours can be brought together to create a memorable cocktail.
The session offered a more hands-on approach to cocktail making. Guests were able to mix, experiment, and create their own cocktails while learning some of the techniques behind the craft.
A Taste of Bali in Every Glass
One of the highlights of the cocktail masterclass in Bali was discovering how local flavours and ingredients can influence a cocktail.
Rather than treating ingredients simply as additions to a drink, the session explored how their individual characteristics can contribute to the overall flavour and balance.
This made the experience particularly fitting for Bali, where fresh local ingredients and distinctive flavours are an important part of the island’s culinary identity.
From the ingredients themselves to the final pour, guests gained a better appreciation of the thought and creativity behind cocktail making.
Sunset at Oswego
As the afternoon progressed, the focus gradually shifted from the bar to the surroundings.
Set at Oswego Bar & Dining in Seminyak, the masterclass coincided with the approach of sunset, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy their freshly crafted cocktails while taking in the relaxed atmosphere of Bali in the late afternoon.
It was less about rushing through a cocktail-making lesson and more about taking the time to shake, sip, and enjoy the moment.
For visitors looking for things to do in Seminyak beyond the usual beach clubs and sightseeing, an interactive experience like this offers a different way to spend a Bali afternoon.
More Than Just a Cocktail Class
What made the afternoon enjoyable was the combination of learning and experience.
Guests didn’t just leave with a cocktail in hand. They also gained a better understanding of the ingredients, techniques, and creative process involved in making one.
The experience brought together cocktail culture, local flavours, Balimoon, and the laid-back atmosphere of a Bali sunset—all in one afternoon at Oswego.
As the sun went down and the glasses were raised, the afternoon ended on a simple note:
Shake. Sip. Sunset. Repeat.
